Police Seeking Public’s Help in Locating Missing 12-Year-Old from Penn Hills
ALLEGHENY COUNTY – Authorities in Newport, Ohio have taken Desmonique Hammonds into custody. They also have custody of the 2022 white Mercedes Benz C240 sedan that she was driving. Her daughter, 12-year-old Alyee Hammonds has not been located.

Alyee is a Black female described as 5 feet tall, 100 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen on March 30, 2023 at 8 PM at a residence in the 200 block of Arbor Lane in Penn Hills. Police believe this child may be at special risk of harm or injury. Anyone sighting her or having information on her whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or contact police immediately at 412-473-3000.
TEXT FROM THE ORIGINAL RELEASE FOLLOWS:

On Friday, March 31, 2023, at approximately 7:36 a.m., Desmonique Raquel Hammonds reported that her 12-year-old daughter, Alyee Hammonds, had run away from their Penn Hills home. Hammonds did not provide many details. A check of the residence by Penn Hills Police on Saturday, April 1, 2023, did not reveal her whereabouts.

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, at about 1:20 p.m., the investigative assistance of the Allegheny County Police General Investigations Unit was requested. Allegheny County Police detectives responded to assist. Further investigation revealed little information, and the Allegheny County Child Abduction Response Team (CART) was activated at about 2:45 p.m.

At approximately 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, Desmonique Hammonds fled from her residence in a 2002 White Mercedes Benz C240 sedan bearing Ohio Registration JBM-9851.

Penn Hills Police pursued the Mercedes and lost sight of it on the Hulton Bridge in Harmar Township. Desmonique Hammonds is wanted for fleeing and eluding police, and she is wanted for questioning in the disappearance of Aylee Hammonds.
